The annual Tom Gibson memorial fishing tournament will be held Aug. 20, at the Watson Boat Dock from 6 am until 3 p.m. $20 entry fee per person. Each person can enter one fish. This is a rod and reel event only. Fish must be checked in alive at the Watson boat dock by 3 p.m. Prizes will be given to the person that has the biggest fish per weight. All fish may be kept by contestants or returned to river. All states fishing regulations apply. Prizes: All winners will receive a trophy. Fifty percent of entry fees go to Watson Fire Department. The rest will be divided between the winners.

Watson Fire Department’s Annual Fish Fry will be held Aug. 20, at 5 p.m. at the Watson Community Building. The meal will be a freewill donation. They will be serving catfish, chicken, sides and desserts. They also will be raffling a Savage 22 mag with bull barrel and tasco scope. Tickets can be purchased from any Watson fireman. They will also be for sale at the dinner.
