The Sidney High School marching band won first place for Class 1A for the Parade Competition at the 2024 Southwest Iowa Band Jamboree at Clarinda. Finishing behind Sidney in the final standings were Tarkio, Fairfax, Rock Port, Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center, Stanton, Riverside and Fremont-Mills.
