Peru State primed for ‘The Lighting Thief – The Percy Jackson Musical

It’s musical week at Peru State College as the Peru State Theater Company and Music Department are set to present “The Lighting Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical in four shows from April 10-13 at the Performing Arts Center on the Peru campus.

Lucas Hrabik, a sophomore from Louisville, will perform as Percy Jackson. Other cast members include Nebraska City High School grads in Natalie Turner, as Annabeth, Kaylee Manion, as the Oracle; and Nick Hower, as Chiron.

This production is made possible by a large cast of actors supported by a creative team, a band and a production team.

The students are hoping to pack the PAC for the event and invite residents of the area to come out and enjoy the show.

“I am super excited to put on a musical at Peru State College,” said Hrabik. “Peru Theatre Company has not put a musical on for over 10 years! We are trying to PACK the PAC and get as many people as possible to come see this amazing piece of theatre at Peru State College! Go BOBCATS!”
