Fifty-four guests enjoyed the inaugural Sadie Hawkins Event on Saturday at the Williams-Jobe- Gibson American Legion Building.
Everyone enjoyed fellowship and entertainment by Starson Lovett on his electric keyboard from 5-8 p.m.
Sidney Foods catered a meal of lasagna or chicken fettuccine alfredo, bread and salad. The committee had appetizers from 5-6 p.m. and desserts of all types for after the meal.
People attended from over an hour away, which was wonderful that we could share our little town and its amazing events with them. Tracy Lovett and husband Mike Lovett had fun photo ops to join in on and will post to a link for those who would like to purchase copies.
The funds that were raised at the event will go to help build up the Sidney Christmas Window Walk account to make it bigger and better every year.
Donations were greatly appreciated as well as those who helped clean up. Lois Miller and Beth Mayberry volunteered to help with serving and Bill and Conrad Hall served as bartenders. Special shout out to Stacy Burge and others who not only donated prizes but also decorated a table with their fine place settings. Special thanks to Carol Schroeder who helped Joella Travis design beautiful flower arrangements for tables. This was the first event with hopes of doing it again next year!
