The U.S. Postal Service has released its 2024 holiday mailing deadlines.
The recommended send-by dates for delivery in the lower 48 states are Wednesday, Dec. 18 for USPS Ground Advantage or First Class Mail service. The recommended send-by date for Priority Mail service is Thursday, Dec. 19, and Saturday, Dec. 21, for Priority Mail Express service.
For service to Alaska and Hawaii, the recommended send-by date for USPS Ground Advantage service is Monday, Dec. 16. For First Class Mail service, the recommended send-by date to Alaska and Hawaii is Wednesday, Dec. 18. For Priority Mail service to Alaska and Hawaii, the recommended send-by date is Thursday, Dec. 19, and the recommended send-by date to Alaska and Hawaii for Priority Mail Express service is Friday, Dec. 20.
For international mail, the recommended send-by date for either First-Class Package International or Priority Mail International service is Monday, Dec. 2 for Africa and Central and South America. The Priority Mail Express International Service recommended send-by date for Africa and Central and South America is Monday, Dec. 9.
For addresses in Asia/Pacific Rim, Australia/New Zealand, Canada, the Caribbean, Europe, Mexico, and the Middle East, , the recommended send-by date for either First-Class Package International or Priority Mail International service is Monday, Dec. 9. The Priority Mail Express International Service recommended send-by date is Monday, Dec. 16.
For military mail, the deadline for First-Class Mail or Priority Mail service is Monday, Dec. 9. The deadline for Priority Mail Express Military service is Monday, Dec. 16, where available.
