The Fremont County Tourism Board oversees tourism funds generated by the Fremont County Hotel/Motel tax and allocates those funds for projects or events that are anticipated to increase tourism within Fremont County.

The Tourism Board is preparing another allocation of funds. Current tourism grant application forms are available at the Fremont County Auditor’s Office in the Court House or on the Fremont County website www.co.fremont.ia.us/

The completed grant applications are due at the Fremont County Auditor’s Office no later than 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 9. Any grant applications turned in after the deadline will be held over and reviewed at the next quarterly allocation meeting.

The Tourism Board will review grant applications for the recommendation of any allocation from tourism grant funds. The review/allocation meeting is scheduled to take place at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, in the Supervisor’s Room of the Fremont County Courthouse.
