After trailing 6-5 after five complete innings, Fremont-Mills rallied for a run in the sixth and a run in the seventh and claimed a 7-6 win over the Sidney Cowboys on June 4 at Sidney.
Freshman Chance Carver led F-M with a double and an RBI. Sam Sanchez, a junior, had a hit and two RBI.
Pitching in the win for F-M was freshman Gavin Crom, who worked 4.2 innings and struck out three.
Sidney was led by freshman Zach Boyd, who had two hits, two RBI, a stolen base and a run scored. Evan Laumann, a freshman-to-be, pitched two strikeouts in the game.
The Sidney team has a record of 2-6 entering the Thursday, June 12, game at Bedford.
Wins for Sidney came against Lenox, 10-6, and Hamburg, 16-0. Losses have come to Tri Center, 6-4; Bedford, 19-0; East Mills, 11-10l; Griswold, 5-4; and Stanton, 10-2.
