Tuition freeze highlights University of Nebraska budget proposal
At a time when families are paying more for gas, groceries and living expenses, the University of Nebraska system will again freeze tuition for all students under a proposed 2022-23 operating budget released June 15.

Ohlde, Wilke earn 2022 All-Midlands Honorable Mention Honors
On Sunday, the NCAA DII, DIII, NAIA and JUCO All-Midlands Softball Teams were announced by the Omaha World-Herald. Ellie Ohlde (Fairbury) and Morgan Wilke (Bakersfield, Calif.) were named as All-Midlands Honorable Mentions.
Baseball and softball teams hosted doubleheader
The Sidney baseball and softball teams hosted East Mills for a doubleheader on Monday night. Both teams picked up wins with the baseball team winning 9-8 and the softball team winning 15-5.
PSC Football Boosters to host golf tournament July 15 in Auburn
The Peru State football booster club is holding their annual golf tournament in Auburn on Friday, July 15, at the Auburn Country Club. The event is a four-team scramble with the cost being $300 per team of four with a $20 rental fee if you choose to use a cart.
New routes await bicyclists for 2022 Radler Bike Festival at Arbor Day Farm
The 2022 Radler Bike Festival will take place from June 18 to June 19 and include two new scenic routes beginning and ending at the Arbor Day Farm. Bicyclists will also get to enjoy live music, games, an event t-shirt, unique accommodations and cider made from Arbor Day Farm apples.
