Unbeaten Grand View University, 8-0, visits the Oak Bowl at 1 p.m.

The Sidney cross country runners competed at the 1A State Qualifying meet at Leon.Three runners took to the course for Sidney and Coach Stephen Meyer said all three runners had good efforts.Alexis Barrett and Carter Buttry had personal best performances and Carter Jorgenson missed a personal record by two seconds.

The Sidney Junior Cowboys football team won the Pride of Iowa Western Division by defeating Stanton, 36-6, and went on to win the Pride of Iowa championship by defeating the Bedford Jr.

The Sidney volleyball team battled back from a semifinal loss to beat Stanton in three sets during the Corner Conference tournament.
