Colonial Theatre hosts Road Trip Iowa
The Colonial Theater recently hosted a special watch party to view an episode of Road Trip Iowa that featured Hamburg.
Hamburg’s Peters wins GPAC javelin
Hamburg’s Lilly Peters, a 2024 graduate from Sidney High School and freshman track athlete at Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, set a personal record at Hastings College on Friday, May 2, at the Great Plains Athletic Conference meet.
Colonial Theatre Volunteers
Four members of the 8th grade Leadership class in Sidney Volunteered their time to work at the Colonial Theatre in Hamburg on May 3. As a reminder, anyone can volunteer just send a message on the Colonial Theater Facebook or contact Erica Stephens, board president. This is a requirement of 8th Graders to volunteer in their communities!
Clean Up Day

Memorial Day Flower Sale set Saturday
A fundraising flower sale of artificial arrangements for Memorial Day is set for Saturday, April 26 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Riverton Community Building. Refreshments will be served while supplies last. Arrangements are $3 each with proceeds going toward the restoration of headstones at Riverton Cemetery. Hamburg FFA attends Leadership Conference
Nine Hamburg FFA members traveled to Ames to attend the 97th Iowa FFA Leadership Conference.
Washington PEP
Washington PEP 4H visited Arbor Tree Farm on April 13 to celebrate Earth Day. Kids got to explore the farm, play outside, and take a hike on one of the trails. We were missing a few members who were attending State FFA representing Southwest Iowa, but we gained a few new faces. It’s not too late to join 4H! Our next meeting is scheduled for May 4th, 2025, 4PM at the Hamburg School. We will be registering events for fair and preparing photos for static exhibits!
