Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig commented on the Iowa Crop Progress and Condition Report released by the USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service. The report is released weekly April through November.

Paige Osborne, TLMHC, has joined the team as a full-time therapist at the Shenandoah Clinic Location of Midwest Mental Health. Overall, she has been with the company for six years.
As school is wrapping up the Hamburg Welding students have been working on a some projects. One is a special order 96” land leveler. Others include 5 shooting platforms with quick attach axles and draw bar, some heavy 12” beam work and a handrail. The students have all done exceptionally well in the shop this year. Most are looking forward to returning next year. A few are planning to explore some of the other trades, which is one of the greatest parts of the program. Marley Shull, a student at Sidney, and Brooke Hays, a student at Shenandoah, was recognized by Gov. Kim Reynolds and Lt. Governor Chris Cournoyer for outstanding academic achievement at the 23rd Annual Governor’s Scholar Recognition Ceremony on April 27 at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines.

Hamburg Legion Post 156 performed Memorial Day services at the Hamburg City Park, the Hamburg Catholic Cemetery, the Hamburg City Cemetery, Mt. Zion-Utterback Cemetery and Mt. Olive Cemetery with the final service at Mount Olive being followed by a freewill donation luncheon.
