Feestra hosts first ag advisory board meeting

U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) held his first Agriculture Advisory Board meeting March 22 to preview the 2023 Farm Bill and answer questions from his 60-member board. Feenstra and the board discussed the Biden Administration’s harmful WOTUS rule, crop insurance, work requirements for SNAP recipients, international trade, greater investment in agricultural research and development, and foreign purchases of American farmland.

Grape Hospital introduces new employees

George C. Grape Community Hospital has announced the following new hires for the facility: Mandie Gammell, director of revenue cycle; Mitchell Hagedorn, physical therapist; Cole Bohlen, cook; Ashleigh King, patient access representative; Jami Osteberg, registered nurse; Belynda Daniels, registered nurse; and Melinda Groenthal, home health care aide.

Hamburg culinary students cater Tarkio Tech Career Day event

Mace Hensen, who attended the event, shared the photos on Facebook. He said, “I had noticed they catered an event at Grape Community Hospital and I knew Tarkio Tech College was looking for a caterer for their annual Career Day in Tarkio. Invited Amanda Graham to give us a proposal and the kids absolutely blew it out of the water. Catered the event with almost 200 students, teachers, presenters and Tarkio Tech administration.” Hansen added, “They visited a local coffee shop in Tarkio after the event and absolutely wowed the owner there with their professionalism and presence.”
