The Hamburg Community School District Print Shop, a full-service print shop located in the Makerspace wing of the Hamburg School, has been open since 2019 and is currently run by Kate Stockstell.Stockstell, who is entering her fourth year as the director of the program, is the second director to lead the shop.In 2023-24, Angelique Rine, Kodi Tysor, and Paycee Holmes were the print shop interns.As a full-service shop, the Hamburg CSD Print Shop meets all kind of needs from regular printing to banners and signage and strives to almost any job from photos to invitations to Christmas cards, as well as ID cards, lamination, spiral bind, sublimation, short run screen printing (for orders less than 100), letterhead and envelopes.The print shop does all the in-house printing for the school as well.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, is making a difference for less fortunate children in Southwest Iowa and is hoping to expand its reach with the help of additional volunteers and donations.Shenandoah is one of 326 Chapters of Sleep in Heavenly Peace, nationwide and in Canada, all operating to meet the goal that “No kid sleeps on the floor in our town,” by building and delivering beds to children who do not have a bed.Jennifer Miller, President of the Shenandoah Chapter, said she moved to Shenandoah two years ago and was looking for a way to get involved in the community.
The 2024 Battle with the Bulls is scheduled for this weekend with shows on Friday, June 21, and Saturday, June 22, in the rodeo arena at Sidney.Featured in the event will be bull riding, bull fighting, barrel racing and mutton busting.See the top riders from the Extreme Bull Riding Tour with Double S Bulls.One of the bull fighters at this year’s event will be a local face, Mason Sheldon of Sidney.
