The Fremont County Historical Society is working together with the State of Iowa Historical Society on a huge project for genealogy research: scanning original probate files to make them free and accessible to the public.
Women, Land and Legacy of Southwest Iowa is excited to offer its seventh conference! This one-day event is designed to be fun, educational, and empowering for women from all walks of life. The conference is scheduled for Saturday, March 5, 2022 at the Glenwood High School in Glenwood, Iowa.

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Fremont County will host a Seed Treatment Continuing Instruction Course (CIC) for commercial pesticide applicators Wednesday, Feb.16. The program, provided by the ISU Extension and Outreach Pesticide Safety Education Program (PSEP), is available at office locations across Iowa.

Beef producers needing to renew or obtain their certification for Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) are invited to attend an in-person workshop scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 17, at 6 p.m. The training, hosted by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach – Mills and Fremont counties, will be held at Lakin Community Center at 61321 315th Street in Malvern.
