The Brownville Concert Series is thrilled to bring the 2024 season to a close with its annual Christmas Gala. The concerts feature Alex Rybeck and Friends in “Bringing It Home.”
A glorious musical celebration of the Christmas Season originally created and staged by Alex Rybeck in 2010 specifically for Brownville along with the original cast of Jeff Harnar, Todd Murray, Anna Bergman, & Klea Blackhurst. This is a show you won’t want to miss! They will be in concert on Friday & Saturday, December 13th & 14th at 7:30pm, and Sunday, December 15th at 2:00pm. Alex Rybeck is a music director, composer, arranger, and pianist, best known for his work in concerts and cabarets, on recordings, and in the theater. Broadway credits include “Merrily We Roll Along”, “Grand Hotel”, and others. He has received numerous awards and honors; MAC, Bistro, Nightlife, Billboard, and Broadwayworld.com as a music director and songwriter.
Jeff Harnar is an Award-winning New York cabaret and recording artist who is known for his critically acclaimed engagements at The Algonquin Hotel’s Oak Room, Feinstein’s at The Regency, The Metropolitan Room, Birdland, Iridium, and more. His Carnegie Hall appearances include both the Cole Porter and Noel Coward Centennial Galas.
Todd Murray has emerged as a notable interpreter of standards, newer material, and his own originals. Blessed with a deep baritone voice, Todd is an intimate performer who excels on romantic ballads, swings at every tempo. In 2016 he was awarded “Best Male Vocalist” and “Best Male Cabaret Show CROON” as well as receiving the prestigious “Margaret Whiting Award” while performing at Jazz At Lincoln Center.
Anna Bergman “thrills you with the sheer aural sensation of her voice” (The Wall Street Journal) and has been hailed by The Washington Post as “vocal citizen of the world who has triumphed in everything from Broadway tunes to opera arias and the sultry innuendoes of a chanteuse.” She performs internationally in concerts, theatre, opera, music festivals, with symphony orchestras, on television and recordings.
Klea Blackhurst is an actress, singer, and comedienne known for her award-winning tribute to Ethel Merman, “Everything The Traffic Will Allow.” Most recently she appeared Off-Broadway with Hayley Mills in the comedy, “Party Face,” at City Center Stage 2. She starred in Hazel during its world premier production at Drury Lane in Chicago, as Dolly Levi in the highly acclaimed Fiftieth Anniversary production of “Hello, Dolly!”
