Bobcats look to bounce back on Saturday at Culver-Stockton

The Peru State men’s basketball team will look to bounce back from a three-point loss to No. 25 Graceland University on Wednesday, Jan. 8, when the Bobcats travel to take on Culver-Stockton at Canton, Mo., at 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Free throws were a big difference maker in the Wednesday contest as Graceland hit 33-of-38 from the line while Peru State hit 13-of-15 in a 79-76 final decision. Carlos Hines posted 27 points to lead Peru State while Devin Tomlinson was the second leading scorer with 19.

Counting Wednesday’s game, the Peru State team’s record fell to 12-3 overall and 8-3 in the Heart of America Conference.

Culver-Stockton fell to Central Methodist (Mo) 75-46 on Wednesday and fell to 3-12 overall and 3-8 in the Heart of America Conference. Peru State defeated Culver-Stockton in a previous meeting this season, 83-75, on Nov. 16.
