Cowgirls wrap season with East Mills matches

The Sidney girls’ basketball team wrapped up the 2022-23 season with a pair of games against East Mills, the first coming on senior night at home and the second coming in postseason action. A 24-point third quarter by East Mills proved to the difference in a match up of the two teams on Feb.

The State of the Union

Q: What’s your takeaway from the State of the Union address? A: President Biden missed an opportunity to address what’s on the top of mind for Iowans: tackling inflation and bringing down costs for everyday goods, including groceries, gas and utilities. Too many households are living paycheck to paycheck.

Two arrested in 2020 Anderson arson

The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office is announcing the arrest of two individuals in connection with an arson that occurred in Anderson in June 2020. On June 22, 2020, fire departments and investigators were called to 306th Avenue in Anderson for a report of two separate buildings on fire.
