The Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Pesticide Safety Education Program will be offering a “Last Chance” Private Pesticide Applicator Continuing Instruction Course (CIC) for private pesticide applicators at county extension offices throughout the state. The course will fulfill 2022 recertification requirements for private pesticide applicators.

Attendees will need a computer and a good internet connection to participate in the programs. Hamburg’s Maddy Duncan was named the female February Athlete of the Month at Peru State College. Duncan played and started in all six games for the Bobcats in the month of the February scoring 12.5 points per game shooting 35.2% from the field, 32.5% from beyond the arc and 92.3% from the free throw line.

A total of 34 athletes, with 20 boys and 14 girls, are out for track and field at Sidney High School this season. Coach Donnie Sears said the Sidney teams are underclassmen heavy with the boys’ team having 17 freshmen or sophomores and the girls’ team having nine freshmen or sophomores.
