Delores Cavner, 84, Hamburg, IA passed on Thurs. Feb. 24, 2022 at the Ambassador in Sidney, IA. Irma Delores Cavner was born on February 22, 1938 in Topeka, KS; the daughter of Howard and Lucille (Archer) Huntley. On August 3, 1954 she was united in marriage to William Cavner.

I can picture it now! “Gas – 19 cents a gallon!” “Congress passes a bill in complete agreement!” “Covid-19 has passed into the history books!” “Putin agree to ‘play nice’ in the world’s sandbox!” Oh, yeah, we could use some good news, couldn’t we? But – we will have to do with the news we have. That is reality.

Certified Handlers Course Set for March 9

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Fremont County will host a Certified Handlers Continuing Instruction Course (CIC) for commercial pesticide applicators Wednesday, March 9, 2022. The program, provided by the ISU Extension and Outreach Pesticide Safety Education Program (PSEP), is available at office locations across Iowa.

The basketball seasons at Sidney high school are in the books for the 2021-22 season. Sidney’s girls’ team fell to Exira-EHK in postseason action.
