On Tuesday, July 19, head volleyball coach Madison Kindle and the Peru State Volleyball team received the USMC-AVCA Academic Team Award in the NAIA division. The AVCA announced the honor in a press release.

PSC Football Player Named to AFCA Good Works Team

On Wednesday, July 20, Peru State football player Garrison Dodge (Oakland) was named as a nominee for the Allstate’s 31st AFCA Good Works Team. This year there were 114 student-athletes who were named to the Good Works Team according to the press release.

Badgers are tough, effective soild engineers

Badgers are tough. We’ve all probably heard of the African Honey Badger and how it doesn’t give a hoot. Well our American Badger is just as tough and probably doesn’t care much either! Badgers are found statewide in Iowa, mostly using open country. They can be found as far east as Ohio, but the core of their range are the Great Plains States like Kansas, Nebraska, and the Dakotas. Like the beaver, badgers are one of nature’s engineers. I consider them like a bulldozer or backhoe. They can move a lot of soil quickly!
