Iowa’s rabbit, squirrel hunting seasons are now underway

The good news for Iowa’s cottontail rabbit hunters is that Iowa has an abundant rabbit population, with the south-central part of the state seeing the best overall numbers. The better news for hunters is Iowa’s cottontail rabbit season, which began Sept. 3 statewide.

Gracee Thompson is the daughter of Chad and Alisha Thompson. She has been involved in volleyball, basketball, golf, track, softball and cheerleading. She has been a member of both band and choir. She has been involved in school plays. She is a member of the National Honor Society and has served on Student Council. Gracee has participated in numerous community service projects such as PE Fun Day, youth volleyball and basketball games as a referee, scoreboard keeper, and stats keeper. She has also been involved in projects around the community. Her future plans include attending nursing school with the goal of becoming a midwife.
