DNR: Drought expands after another dry month

Iowa’s August precipitation was 3.53 inches, or 0.6 inches below normal for the month, according to the latest Water Summary Update. This marks the fifth month in a row of below normal statewide average precipitation.

Peru State hosts freshwater fun at Duck Creek

On Wednesday, Sept. 7, Peru State College held its annual kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, and outdoor education event at Duck Creek. This event was organized by: Dr. Frank Lynott, Dr. Darolyn Seay, Dr. Kelly Kingsley, Dr. Robert Ingram, Dr. Sara Westerlin, Nebraska Game and Parks, Student Activities, School of Education, Methods professors and college 101 professors. The Lincoln Paddle Company provided kayaking and paddle boards for the second year in a row.

This past week has been very eventful, hasn’t it? We lost two leaders. England’s Queen Elizabeth II led her kingdom until her death.

PSC Football Drops Game to Benedictine College

On Saturday, SeptembPer 10, the Peru State football team was defeated by Benedictine 31-7. The Bobcats are now 1-2 overall on the season and 0-0 in Heart of America Athletic Conference play, while the Ravens are now 2-1 overall and 0-0 as well in the Heart.
