The Fremont County Historical Society hosted a history walk at the Grandview Cemetery on Sunday, Oct. 6, with 25 attending. The cemetery land was originally owned by early settler, Jason Rector, with the first burial occurring in 1875. Other early settlers highlighted in the walk included the Knox, Bobbitt, Birkby, Chapman, Vernon, Hume, Keysor and Worcester families. Sandra Bengston read the cemetery story at the event.
