The Nebraska volleyball team, 9-1 on the season and fresh off a sweep of No. 2 Stanford in front of the home crowd at the Bob Devaney Sports Center in Lincoln on Wednesday, Sept. 18, will return to action for an 11:30 a.m. start on the road at Louisville on Sunday, Sept. 22.
Follow the action on TV with coverage by ABC or listen to the Huskers Radio Network or online at Huskers.com.
Scores from the Stanford match were 25-17, 25-22 and 25-15.
Nebraska dominated the visiting Cardinal by using a balanced attack with three hitters near the double figure kill mark. Lindsay Krause and Andi Jackson each had nine kills while Merritt Beason had eight kills in the match. Harper Murray had six kills while Bergen Reilly had four and Rebekah Allick had two. Jackson and Allick had five and four blocks respectively. Reilly had 27 set assists. Lexi Rodriguez was the dig leader at nine and had two ace serves.
On Sept. 3, Nebraska suffered an upset loss on the road to Dallas at SMU, but the Huskers have been near perfection since that match with six straight wins. Aside from a five-set win against rated in-state rival Creighton, the Huskers have not given up a single set in matches against the Citadel, Montana State, Arizona State, Wichita State and Stanford.
