The Sidney Iowa Championship Rodeo Committee celebrates the 2024 event and is already looking forward to the 2025 rodeo.
A statement from the Sidney Iowa Rodeo stated, “It was another successful Sidney Iowa Rodeo 2024. We are grateful for the many sponsors, volunteers, veterans, those who headed up and participated in Rodeo Days, the many workers at the rodeo museum, vendors, rodeo fans making up terrific crowds for five days, and a carnival to bring joy to all ages.”
This year’s rodeo was conducted July 30 to Aug. 3. There were 326 contestants participating this year.
The Grand Entry at the rodeo featured five people singing the National Anthem. Tuesday night’s singer was Amy Mincer of Hamburg. Wednesday night featured Brent Monnier of Raymond, Nebr. Thursday night featured Nancy Kedzior of Iowa City. Friday night featured Cora Krog of Nebraska City. Saturday night featured Kate Roberts of Sidney.
