The Farragut Admiralettes were the 1971 champions of their division of girls basketball. The Admiralettes earned their way to the championship by beating Hampton 67-37 in the first playoff round and Elk Horn-Kimballton 59-57 in the second. Farragut beat West Marshall 65-52 in the semifinals and Mediapolis 67-60 in the final. Farragut has 28 All-State players and appeared in the state tournament 15 times from 1936 to 1976.
