New Books by Subject

Fiction books at the Hamburg Public Library are organized by author’s last name in either easy, junior, young adult, adult or large print areas. However, the staff can easily locate for our patrons books in specific categories or on certain subjects. These new books are an example:

Iowa Beef Center announces new director

When Aimee Wertz-Lutz was working as a post-doctoral research associate in ruminant nutrition and nutritional physiology at Iowa State University, she likely didn’t see Iowa State as part of her professional career. After all, she would soon be headed to South Dakota State University as a faculty member in the animal and range sciences department, then to ADM Animal Nutrition as a manager of ruminant nutrition research, followed by serving as ruminant nutritionist for Devenish Nutrition (North America.)

Civil War Reenactment

You may have recently heard a little boom, or a few of them, as the town served as the host site for a Civil War Lunch and Learn event. The event had a great turnout with attendees witnessing the firing of a civil war cannon. Organizers send thanks to the city for its support of this program! Battle with the Bulls sets sights on 2025

Just over a month ago, the dust settled over another thrilling Battle with the Bulls, hosted by Gold Buckle Productions on June 27 and 28, 2025. Over two action-packed nights, fans were treated to top-tier bull riding, intense bull fighting, fast-paced barrel racing, and the always-entertaining mutton busting. Each event kept the crowd on the edge of their seats from start to finish.
