The Sidney SRO (School Resource Officer) Assistant Sophia spent the morning learning about law enforcement tools, completing security checks, learning all about CRT K9 Sally, doing a ride-along, visiting the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office , etc. A BIG thanks to SRO Logan Roberts for sharing his time with a truly excited student! Marley Shull, a student at Sidney, and Brooke Hays, a student at Shenandoah, was recognized by Gov. Kim Reynolds and Lt. Governor Chris Cournoyer for outstanding academic achievement at the 23rd Annual Governor’s Scholar Recognition Ceremony on April 27 at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines.

The Iowa State Patrol visited Mrs. Reynolds PE classes and brought the Seat Belt Convincer with them for students to ride to demonstrate how important it is to wear seat belts. Buckle up! Seat belts do save lives!
As we load up our 2021 Zinger Travel Trailer to take the third leg of our journey, we find a lot of emotions pop up. Memories of the sweet couples we met at our favorite campground in North Carolina, the kiddos yelling from the swing set, “Push me Grama T!” or “Look what I did Grampa Mike!, the meal planning for two months with our sweet new daughter in law, the high volume singing in the car, the goodnight snuggles, the precious time Mike got with his son, just to name a few.

The Sidney track and field teams finished the 2025 spring season at the Class 1A State Qualifying Meet at Griswold on May 15.
Nebraska (32-27) has been selected as the No. 3 seed for the NCAA Regional in Chapel Hill, N.C., and will play second-seeded Oklahoma (35-20) on Friday, May 30 at 4 p.m. CT on ESPN+.
