Liam Clements, a student at Hamburg Community Schools, was named as the winner of the Hamburg Cake Fundraiser Contest. Students were assigned to write a paper and draw a picture of the cake they wanted to design. Wendy Pitts-Duncan of Annie’s Boutique Bakery, a sponsor of the fundraiser, received the top three student papers and was tasked with choosing the winner. Lacey Kiefer of Percival is making her directorial debut with the play Robinson Crusoe at the Southwest Iowa Theatre Group Park Playhouse in Shenandoah.
