Jessica Prazan, Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach Fremont County Youth Coordinator, is excited to announce summer learning opportunities for local youth.
Astro Day Camp
This camp, scheduled for Wednesday, June 8, from 9 AM to 3 PM, is open to youth who have completed Kindergarten through grade 3. The day will be filled with hands-on learning focused on aerospace engineering. Kids will get to make their very own helicopters, airplanes, hoop gliders, and more!
Clover Cookie Factory
This camp, scheduled for Wednesday, June 11, from 9 AM to noon, is open to youth who have completed grades 4-6. Come discover the magic in cookies! The morning will be filled with hands-on learning opportunities focused on the ingredients found in cookies. Don’t worry, you can eat your creations along the way!
Music and Art Day Camp
This camp, scheduled for Wednesday, June 18, from 9 AM to noon, is open to youth who have completed Kindergarten through grade 3. The morning will be filled with hands-on learning opportunities focused on music and the arts. Come make your own music, create an art project, and explore both through technology!
Forensic Day Camp
This camp, scheduled for Wednesday, June 25, from 9 AM to 3 PM is open to youth who have completed Kindergarten through grade 3. Come be a little detective and make big discoveries! The day will be filled with hands-on learning experiences where you work as a detective and discover the science behind forensics.
ISU Extension and Outreach day camps are open to all local youth who meet the age requirements. 4-H membership is not required.
The cost is $20 per camp for one child and $15 for each additional child from the same household. The fees for service will be used to offset direct expenses and to support the 4-H Youth Development Fremont County Extension Program.
