Arizona man arrested after Highway 275 traffic stop

Sheriff Kevin Aistrope reports the following incident and subsequent arrest.On July 29, at approximately 3:30 p.m., the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a stolen vehicle being chased by the owner on Highway 275 near Hamburg.Deputies responded to the area and observed the vehicle, a silver 2004 Chevrolet Suburban, northbound in the 2600 block of Highway 275.

Fremont County shows up at the Southwest Shootout

Cooper Avey, a Fremont-Mills FFA member and junior-to-be at the Tabor school, recently won the opportunity to compete at The Best of Southwest Shootout in four different classes: breeding doe, breeding gilt, market goat, and market hog.The Best of Southwest Shootout, which took place July 28 at Bedford, is an invite only show for the champions of the 10 southwest Iowa counties: Adair, Adams, East Pottawattamie, Fremont, Mills, Montgomery, Page, Taylor, Union, and West Pottawattamie.
