“The Canopy Report,” a new consumer report from the Arbor Day Foundation, takes a deep dive into how America sees trees.The findings examine Americans’ interactions with green space, their perceptions of the health and environmental benefits of trees, and their feelings about climate change.“In many ways, the Canopy Report is a resounding affirmation of the power of trees and their critical function in our everyday lives,” said Dan Lambe, chief executive of the Arbor Day Foundation.

Mike Stanley, a former Western Iowa Conference Athletic Director, and local legend, passed away in late March and continues to be the topic of heartwarming stories and remembrances.There is little doubt that memories of Stanley will remain for many years to come.Lewie Curtis, who took the athletic director job at Underwood in 2000, said Stanley welcomed him into the eight-school group of athletic directors in the Western Iowa Conference.Curtis said Stanley advised him with “blunt honesty” and also with “expertise in doing what was best for kids.”Curtis said Stanley enjoyed leadership, knew how to lead.
