Enjoying an Eclipse 2024
The 2024 Solar Eclipse took place on April 8, 2024, and while Fremont County was not in the area where a total eclipse could be observed, plenty of residents still took the time to head out, put on their eclipse glasses and watch an event that will not be repeated in the United States for 22 years.

Heather Leonard has always been an artist, so it makes sense she makes a living pursing art.Leonard and her business partner, Kully Huntley, are the owners of BorderTown in Hamburg.Leonard and Huntley live in Hamburg after having grown up in Riverton.Leonard has been a tattoo artist for 15 years, starting at age 18.
4-H and FFA Swine Weigh-In held in Fremont County
Eleven Fremont County youth weighed in 39 market hogs Saturday, April 6, at the Fremont County Fairgrounds in Sidney.Assisting with the weigh-in were Fremont County Extension and Outreach County Youth Coordinator Jessica Prazan, County Council member Lillian Howe, and 4-H Volunteer Ryan Roberts.
Riverton HP has busy calendar of events
Riverton Hometown Pride, which was formed just a year ago, has already hosted a number of events, including a breakfast fundraiser that served close to 100 people.The organization’s upcoming flower fundraiser looks to be popular with proceeds going to the Riverton Cemetery Repair Project.Other events in Riverton include Trick or Treat, the Chautauqua Restoration Research, Riverton Community Days which includes a 5K, live music and 50/50 raffle, and a winter event, the Santa’s Workshop.

Sixty Sidney Students and dates attended this year’s Sidney High School Prom on April 13 at the Waterfalls in Farragut.The theme for this year was Hollywood.Brad Johnson’s family catered the meal.
