Southwest Iowa 66, Tri Center 12 Wins by Seth Ettleman, 120, by pin in 1:56; Gabe Johnson, 126, by pin in 1:36; Flynt Bell, 152, by pin in 1:39; Kurt Speed, 160, by pin in 27 seconds. Southwest Iowa 48, Woodbine 24 Wins by Kurt Speed, 160, by pin in 2:54; Brandon Orozco, 285, by pin in 47 seconds. Tournament Results Southwest Iowa finished sixth at the Treynor High School Invite. There were 14 teams at the event. Kingsley- Pierson finished first with 279.5 points and Panorama had 193 points.

“Be a hero, learn CPR”

We are familiar with the scene on television and movies: a person clutches their chest and drops to the ground, unconscious. Another character starts chest compressions and help is summoned. Although cardiopulmonary resuscitation, or CPR, is often not accurately portrayed in such productions, it serves as a good reminder to all that CPR can save a life.

Receiving the Citizenship award was Jaimie Moyer (Silver Skylarks). This award acknowledges 4-H members who have learned the meaning of citizenship and have demonstrated understanding through good citizenship practices.

Grassley receives Salvation Army’s Evangeline Booth Award for lifetime of outstanding public service

Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) was presented The Salvation Army’s highest honor and award, the Evangeline Booth Award on Nov. 30 in his Washington, D.C. office. The award is given to individuals and organizations dedicated to doing the most good in communities across the country.
