Leininger Earns Certificate for Introduction to Commercial Lending School

Kelsi Leininger of Tri-Valley Bank, Randolph successfully completed the 2022 Iowa Bankers Association Introduction to Commercial Lending School held October 1719 in Cedar Rapids. The school is an intense three-day program sponsored by the Iowa Bankers Association. The purpose of the IBA Introduction to Commercial Lending School is to give students a basic understanding of the principles and concepts of commercial lending. The curriculum for the school involves an extensive case study, as well as classroom lecture and problem loan exercises.

Shop with a Cop Program

Walmart People Lead Bre VanSickle, left, and Store Manager Rick Altena, right, present a check to the “Shop with a Cop” program. Nebraska City Police Department Sergeant Jason Holman is in charge of the program, which has provided shopping experiences for the past 10 years. Children are paired with law enforcement officers, and they meet for a meal, shopping, and gift wrapping during the holidays.

Fremont County Extension welcomes new county council members

Fourteen Fremont County 4-H members have been accepted to serve on Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Fremont County’s 4-H County Council. The group is composed of youth in grades 9-12 who are willing to serve as leaders and role models for younger 4-H members within the county. County Council members are guided by Fremont County Youth Coordinator, Jessica Prazan, with assistance from County Director, Mandy Maher, and Summer Program Assistant, Elizabeth Adkisson.
