The Eagle Has Landed!

I would much rather spend time with my flower and plant catalogs. The only controversy there is convincing myself I don’t NEED all of them! Have you ever noticed gardens you plan in the winter are always perfect? There isn’t a single weed or a fungus or bug to cause There isn’t a single weed or a fungus or bug to cause any problems! Books for every event

A quick look at a calendar and one will note Dr. Seuss’ birthday, St. Patrick’s Day, and the first day of spring are all approaching in the next few weeks. At the Hamburg Public Library, we have books for pre-school and school-age children related to each of those events.

A: The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) reports America is experiencing an “unprecedented overdose epidemic.” Overdose deaths are claiming an average 275 lives every day. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), deaths by overdose killed more than 100,000 Americans over a 12-month period, nearly a 30 percent increase from the previous year.

School menus delayed

We have requested March menus from the local school districts, but we did not receive them in time to include them as this paper was being sent to the printer. We will resume providing school meal information as soon as we receive the March menus.
