On Dec. 6, Deputies received a call of a male throwing rocks at a passing vehicle in the 1500 block of West Sheridan, just outside of the Shenandoah city limits. Deputies contacted Kyle Campbell, age 34 of Shenandoah, Iowa, in a nearby parking lot. Deputies placed Campbell under arrest for Public Intoxication and Disorderly Conduct. Campbell then began fighting deputies, resulting in a taser deployment.

Cattlemen’s Heritage retains Wisconsin firm to design, build beef-processing facility

Cattlemen’s Heritage has selected the ESI Group of Hartland, Wis., to design and construct its processing facility located in southwest Iowa, lead developer Chad Tentinger has announced. The 500,000-square-foot Cattlemen’s Heritage beef-harvesting plant, located in northern Mills County just south of Council Bluffs, will harvest 1,500 head per day and employ up to 750 people.
