A new tool from the Iowa Flood Center at the University of Iowa may help make flood preparation easier for residents of southwest Iowa. The Missouri River Flood Information Systeam (MRFIS) is an interactive map that will provide realtime information to landowners whose property may be affected by flooding.

Placers for the boys’ team were Andreas Buttry, second at 106; Kyle Kesterson, third at 138; Sam Daly, third at 220; and Chance Roof, fourth at 285.

Russell Grant Welch was born on May 18, 1955, in Robbinsdale, MN, to Russell N. Welch and Margarette (Marge) Runyon Welch. To welcome Russ home was his older brother, Charles (Chuck). Later the family was joined by Scott, Leroy and finally the baby and only sister, Allene.
