This coming spring, the Heart of America Athletic Conference (Heart) will host its conference championship at the Osage National Golf Course in Lake of the Ozarks, Mo.
Several Heart teams and individual golfers recently took part in the Heart preview this past Monday and Tuesday to check out the course as the fall season comes to an end.
Peru State was among the teams participating in the event and were led by junior Vivian Brown (Wichita, Kan.). Brown finished is a tie for fifth with a two-day total of 182. Brown had rounds of 88 and 94.
Taylor Finke (Battle Creek) was 13th with a two-day total of 194. Sydney Neal (Peru) was 17th after shooting a two-day score of 244. Peru State's fourth golfer was Kayla Myers (Sidney, Iowa) who finished 20th with a score of 343.
Baker won the team title with a two-day total of 719 while Brittany Evans of William Penn was the medalist as she shot a 154 over the two days.
