At their final meeting of 2018-19, the Peru State Student Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) elected the individuals who will lead them for the 2019-20 school year.
 
Ally Hazen, a senior social science education major from North Platte was elected to serve as the president having been the vice president of the group last year. She replaces Dan Boshart (Wood River).

SAAC is the liaison student-led group which facilitates communication and support between athletic teams.
 
Junior Vivian Brown (Wichita, Kan.) was elected to serve as the vice president while Bailey Johnson (Johnson) will serve SAAC as its communication officer for the 19-20 year.

 Hazen is one of the softball student-athlete representatives while Brown represents the golf team. Johnson is a member of the Bobcat cheerleading squad.
 
All three are very active on campus in many roles and all have been on the dean's list several times.
 
Hazen is a catcher/third baseman on the softball team and is the athletic department's Dr. LeRoy Walker Champions of Character nominee. Brown is a resident assistant and one of the team's top golfers. Johnson is an Admissions ambassador.
 
In addition, the three leaders have participated in numerous community service activities both on and off the Peru State campus. They will begin their leadership roles in September. 9654
