Zayne Osborn scored a career high 18 points, six rebounds , and five assists in a, 50-27, victory over Griswold on Friday, Jan. 11.
After a slow start in the first quarter, the Cowboys still had a, 5-2, lead. Sidney blew the doors open with five three-pointers in the second period, and by the end of the half, the Cowboys led 28-10.
The Cowboys out-scored Griswold, 22-17, in the second half for the 23 point win.
After picking up their seventh win on the season, Coach Kent Larsen said the offensive execution needs to get better.
“Had a lot of good looks, but besides the second quarter, we couldn't knock shots,” Larsen said.  “Offensive execution was not very good.
“We made a lot of sloppy passes and we were not in the right spots most of the night.”
Sidney was 6-of-20 from behind the arc, and 11-of-31 from the field.
“Defensively we played pretty well,” Larsen said.  “We rebounded well defensively.  We need to do a better job of getting to the offensive glass.”
Sam Pierce scored eight points for the Cowboys; Brady Lorimor, seven; Jackson Gorham, six; Cole Jorgenson, five; Jaden Sears, four; Brock Shirley, two.
Lorimor led Sidney with 10 rebounds.
