Iowa Western Reivers Freshman Guard Azaria Floyd was given the honor of All-Tournament team at the Women’s National Invitational Tournament in Midland, Texas. Votes were made by the staff of the tournament resulting in the Racine, Wisc., native taking home one of the hardwoods.

Azaria had an outstanding weekend starting against the #6TH ranked team in the nation Salt Lake. Azaria managed to go 4-7 from the field leaving her with 10pts. She continued to excel over the weekend in the Reivers win against Arizona Western scoring 13pts (5-9FG) and 3-4 from the 3pt line.

The Reivers returned home with a 2-1 record winning the consultation bracket with a loss against Salt Lake and wins over #13 Eastern Arizona and Arizona Western.

When asked about the tournament Azaria stated, “This was a great experience for me and the team. We are a really young team so it was good to be up against really good competition this early in the season.”
