Mary L. Stubbendeck, 92 of Syracuse, passed away on April 15, 2020, at the Syracuse Good Samaritan Society.
She was born on May 8, 1927, to Thomas & Vera (Kudron) Wenninger in Lincoln.
Mary married Donald W. Stubbendeck on Nov. 16, 1947, in Lincoln.
She and Don worked on the farm together and she also worked as an interviewer for Job Service in Lincoln.
Mary was active in the extension club and as a 4-H leader. She won many awards bowling including winning the Cornhusker State Games.
She loved gardening, sewing and fishing. Mary was known for cooking and generosity to others.
She is survived by her Daughters: Linda (Marv) Young of Monument, Colo., Nancy (Bruce) Pietzyk of Eagle, Deb (Dan) Kreifels of Syracuse; seven grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Due to COVID-19, a private family service will be held at a later date.
No visitation.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to St. Paulinus Catholic Church or Otoe County 4-H Foundation.
