Hastings resident Randale W. “Randy” Edmisten, 58, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings.       
A Rosary was to be 7 p.m. Thursday, May 16, at Butler Volland Chapel.
A Mass of Christian Burial was to be 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 17, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Hastings with Father Jeremy Hazuka officiating.
Burial was to be at Parkview Cemetery in Hastings. Memorials may be given to American Diabetes Association.
Visitation was to be 4-8 p.m. Thursday with family present 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church.

Randy was born March 12, 1961, in Nebraska City to Karen (Johnson) Edmisten. He graduated from Nebraska City High School in 1979.
Randy married Karen Kimminau on June 30, 1990, at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Columbus. They moved to Hastings from Columbus in 2002.
Randy was a dairy manager of Family Thrift Center in Columbus and Russ’s Supermarket in Hastings for 10 years. He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church. He was an avid Indianapolis Colts, St. Louis Cardinals, and Nebraska Husker fan. Randy enjoyed golfing, tennis, softball, spending time outdoors, cooking, baking, playing cards, and making people smile and laugh. He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
Randy was preceded in death by his infant sisters, Michelle Edmisten and Kelli Edmisten; infant brother, Michael Edmisten; grandparents, Glen and Leola Edmisten and George and Mabel Johnson; great-aunt, Donnabelle Edmisten; mother-in-law, Marie Kimminau; and niece, Amanda Kimminau.   
Survivors include wife: Karen Edmisten of Hastings; daughters and spouses: Samantha and Chris Walker of Nebraska City, Sierra and Derrek Edmisten of Hastings, and Jennifer Edmisten of Hastings; grandchildren: Ryan Walker, Addison Walker, Gwenneth Walker, Sora Edmisten, Randle Edmisten, and Jayne Edmisten; mother:     Karen (Johnson) Edmisten  of Nebraska City; sisters and spouse: Jackie and John Scharp of Nebraska City, Lauri Kastl and fiancé Dan Dewey of David City; brother and spouse:        Scooter and Cheryl Edmisten of  Nebraska City; father-in-law: Arnold Kimminau of Lawrence; brothers-in-law and spouses:    Darrel and Linda Kimminau of Lincoln; Dale and Mary Kimminau of Lawrence;  sister-in-law and spouse: Marlene and Mark Pullmann of Kearney; 16 nieces and nephews:and 18 great-nieces and great-nephews.
