Roger L. Hoy, age 68 of Dunbar, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Nebraska City.
Roger was born on Aug. 22, 1950, in Falls City; the son of Robert Lee and Loretta Mae (Murphy) Hoy.   
He was united in marriage to Roxanne G. Bennett on Dec. 8, 1972, in Rock Port, Mo., and to this union four children were born:  Jason, Trini, Wendy and Shawn.
Roger worked at different jobs over the years, including at Cargill and most recently at Sapp Brothers.
He is survived by his wife Roxanne Hoy of Dunbar; children:  Jason Hoy of Dunbar, Trini Hoy and significant other Nikki Wenzel of Syracuse, Wendy Vodicka and husband Kurt of Nebraska City, and Shawn Hoy and wife Cynthia of Union; 10 grandchildren and a great-grandchild; siblings:  Diane Perez (Jesse) of Houston, Texas, Rocky Hoy (Karen) of Plano, Texas, Orville Hoy (Dixie) of Falls City, Mary Ann Mendez (Jesus) of Nebraska City, and Terry Hoy of Omaha; half-siblings:  Bobbie Schroeder (Arland) of Eagle, Leslie Hoy (Valerie) of Lizella, Ga., Scott Hoy of Nebraska City, and Kelly Waggoner (Shawn) of Eagle; other family and friends.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Loretta Hoy; father and mother-in-law, Ralph Cleo “Sam” and Arwilda (Bassinger) Bennett.
A Funeral Service was Monday, April 29, 2019 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  Burial was in Camp Creek Cemetery southeast of Nebraska City.
The family greeted friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday (4/28) at Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City.  The family also greeted friends on Monday at the church from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
