Margaret (Midge) Schwab Giambattista, 74, was born on April 30, 1944 and died on April 19, 2019.
She passed away after a long and difficult struggle with cancer.
Midge was born in Pawnee City, and was the youngest of eight children.
She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Audrey Martin Schwab, two brothers, Gene (Margaret) of Springfield, Mo., and Jim (Judy) of Syracuse. She is survived by her sons Patrick (Lisa) and Vincent. Both of Omaha; two grandchildren Audrey and Nathan; brothers Bud (Eva Jane) of Springfield, Mo., and Glenn (Nelvie) of Beatrice; sisters Marjory (Lloyd) Whitlow of Auburn, Mary Jane (Howard) Engelbrecht of Syracuse and  Susie (Pat) Martin of Omaha.
Midge was a hard working high spirited lady that liked nothing better than to laugh or make us laugh. Later on in her life she pursued a career in nursing, completing her schooling only to suffer a disabeling stroke in November of 1999.
She will be missed dearly.
Her ashes will be laid to rest on Saturday May 25, at 11 a.m. at Park Hill Cemetery 174 17th Street, Syracuse NE 68446
