Albert Zook, age 74 of Nebraska City, died Monday, Aug. 27, 2018, at LGH Bryan West Hospital in Lincoln.  Albert was born May 12, 1944, in Tarkio, Mo., to Harry Robert Zook and Edith Odessa (Hardy) Zook.  
Albert “Al” Zook was a son, brother, father, husband, grandfather, great grandfather, friend, co-worker, and fishing buddy.  
Al was a simple man from a big family.
One of 10 siblings, he grew up in Tarkio, Mo.
Al graduated from Tarkio High School.
Al became a pastor of his own church, worked at a beef packing plant, was a security guard at Brownsville Nuclear plant, and owned his own business. Al volunteered at the Knights of Columbus food bank and was a part of a youth ministry group. Al was a hardworking, caring, spiritual man who many came to confide in. You will be missed greatly but we all know we will see you again someday.
Al was preceded in death by a wife Frances Lynn Zook; daughter Laurie Marie Zook; sisters Alma Knuth and Rebecca (Becky) Zook; brothers Charles Sahlin, James (Sonny) Sahlin and Robert Zook; his parents, Harry and Edith Zook; and step son, Douglas King.
He is survived by his current wife of 11 years, Linda Zook; brother William (Bill) Sahlin; sisters Edith (Eddie) Rhoades, Harriet Adkins, and Alica Zook; three sons, Chris Todd Hale, Robert Zook, and William Zook; daughter Jenny Clark; step sons, Gregory King and Michael King; grandkids; great grandkids, step grandkids and step great grandkids, other family members, friends, and many kids while they were growing up that called him dad.
Funeral services were to be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 1 at the United Methodist Church in Brock.  Visitation were to be with the family greeting friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Church.  Interment will be in Clifton Cemetery near Brock and memorials will go the Knights of Columbus Food Pantry in Nebraska City.  Online condolences may be expressed at
