Ernest W. “Corky” Doiel, age 79 of Hamburg, passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at the Ambassador in Sidney.
Ernest Doiel, better known as Corky, was born on May 10, 1939 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Nebraska City; the son of Glen and Kathryn (Carson) Doiel.  
He attended school in Percival.  
Corky married Patsy Meek and Dorothy Daniel and they preceded him in death. He later married Donna Robinson on June 18, 1977, at the United Trinity Church in Hamburg. He worked at Cargill for many years.  
He enjoyed many hobbies, including hunting, fishing and playing cards.  He played cards at the Blue Moon everyday.  Hucklebuck was one of his favorite card games.  
He also liked to watch wrestling and westerns.
Corky is survived by his children:  Kathi Doiel of Clarinda, Iowa, and Kyle Doiel and wife Diane of Philadelphia, Pa.; one grandson Justin Doiel of Cobden, IL; siblings:  Mary Saydea and husband Richard of Gloucester, Va., John Doiel and wife Bev of Shenandoah; Lola White of Nebraska City; many nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his three wives, Patsy, Dorothy and Donna; his parents and siblings:  Glen Doiel, Jr., Irene White, Elmer Doiel, Jim Doiel and Harold Doiel.
Funeral Services were to be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 17, at the Rash-Gude Funeral Home in Hamburg.  Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery southeast of Hamburg.
The family was to greet friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday (8/16) at the funeral home and from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday (8/17), prior to the services.
