More than 30 families participated in the Financial StoryWalk during the Children’s Fair at the 2019 Fremont County Fair July 21.

A StoryWalk combines activity and reading as participants travel a path and read at different stations. The focus of this StoryWalk was financial literacy.

ISU Extension & Outreach Regional Human Sciences Family Finance Specialist Sandra McKinnon helped children make banks after the StoryWalk.

Growing Strong Families Parent Educator Heidi Lowthorp and Tabor Public Librarian Dawn Miller helped with the StoryWalk.

Each family who participated received a new book provided by ISU Extension & Outreach.

Lowthorp is planning another StoryWalk Aug. 3 during Rodeo Fun Days on the west side of the Sidney square with a fun rodeo-themed book for families.
