The Brownville Concert Series is thrilled to have Oberlin & Harkness present their show, “Lush Life: Billy Strayhorn.”
You will hear both prominent Strayhorn standards like “Take the A Train,” “Lush Life,” and “Something to Live For,” along with rare works written for the Ellington Orchestra, films, concerts, and shows…all presented with the signature heart, grace, and humor of Oberlin & Harkness.
It’s sure to be a show you don’t want to miss. They will perform in cabaret on Friday and Saturday, August 9th & 10th at 7:30pm and in concert on Sunday, Aug. 11, at 2 p.m.
We give special thanks to Annie Thomas and Dr. Charles & Carole James for helping to sponsor these concerts.
As a non-profit organization, our ongoing mission includes community outreach.
As part of that mission, Oberlin & Harkness have graciously committed to perform a mini-concert for the Rose Blumpkin Jewish Home in Omaha on August 8th at 2:00pm.
